September

We officially have a Kindergartner, and it's going to be an adventure! Last year, I had to drag Grayson kicking and screaming on to the school bus. This year he has promised that he is going to be brave, strong and try REALLY hard at school. Fingers crossed, because this momma is WORRIED! Nolan need to be just like his big brother and take a backpack to school. We are too close to school this year to ride the bus, so Nolan and Lyla get to come along as we drop Grayson off at school and pick him up each day!

Tyler's work had a company appreciation party. They were hosting box car races and the boys had a TON of fun making cardboard firetrucks! Neither of them won their race, but Grayson's truck won a decoration award! He got a $25 gift card he so willingly shared with his littler brother!

We left Tyler for a weekend so he could get ahead on homework for this semester-uninterrupted. We went to my moms and had some fun! We went to a local corn maze. They had hay rides, train rides, zip-lines, bumper balls, sand pits, slides and mazes! Lyla girl had fun in the stroller....

And Tyler treated himself to TWO pizzas and a giant Mt. Dew....

My dad made a quick stop one day and bought the boys some ice cream!

Nolan learned thumbs up and how to wink in one day! He also really loves to dress up as a super hero from one of his birthday presents!

Nana took the boys to her Fall School Party. They got to pick pumpkins, eat red sandwiches (sloppy joes) and go on train rides.

These boys love to go to mutual with daddy and play with the "scouts". Nolan will say, "Hey Mom, a scout!" when they are passing the sacrament. They really enjoyed their sticker packages from Gramma Swallow

Lyla turned 4 months old and we love her to pieces!

Until next time...

August Part Two: The End of Summer

After Lyla's blessing, summer began to wind down. We did a lot of activities to send the summer off into the school year. Tyler went to the West Liberty Foods Annual Golf Tournament. He went with his dad and brothers. This year they sported quite the matching outfits. Tyler was so excited that he was sure to get all the way ready the night before.

We took the boys to the fair this year! They really wanted to ride the rides last year and this year they had a BOGO deal. We went to the rodeo as part of the fair as well. Nolan participated in the stick horse race, got a participation trophy and sucker for playing along. They boys loved giving high-fives to the cowboys and cowgirls as they warmed up in the area.

Football season start for Uncle Tommy and these kids love to watch and dance as Tom plays!

We went to one more family reunion. We played in the Snake River and rode lots of fun toys!

We stayed home for the Eclipse and skipped the horrible traffic. The highway behind our house was backed up 2 days on and off! We were in the zone about 96% totality and it was NOTHING compared to totality, as shared by many friends and family members from East Idaho. Everything got grayish, but never dark. We were able to snag some glasses and spend the time outside as a family. It was fun trying to explain it to the boys.

Tommy and Tyler scored some SUPER cheap swag from the Amazon add-on program. It was like Christmas for a few days!

Lyla turned 3 months and she is our first baby to have enough strength to balance on Tyler's hand.

Next month school starts and well... it is, what it is...
Until next time...

August Part One: Lyla's Blessing.

We started the month of August with Lyla's blessing! We had a wonderful day and lots of family joined us! There are many people that love us and our little family!

Tyler came up with Lyla's name and Tyler gave me the idea of having my wedding dress made into a blessing dress. I found a wonderful lady in Logan that was willing to help me out! It turned out better than I could have ever imagined! Lyla also wore the Texas socks from Gramma Swallow, just like her brothers.

We were able to get a lot of family pictures! We all matched in purple (I know, I know, but right now I can make them!) and I am in love with our family!

We had a lot of family visit that day to show their love for baby Lyla! We got a wonderful picture with her and her namesakes.

What a wonderful day! We are so blessed in more ways than we can count! We love our baby Lyla!

Until next time...
