May 2026: End of Baseball

We stepped of the plane and had 4 games in 3 days. It was crazy. I'm VERY grateful for the people who streamed the games so I could watch from home. 

Nolan's team finished 1st in the league! It was really great to watch this team make plays. Nolan further cemented just how good he is at doing things he likes! Unfortunately, some adults on the board of directors made some poor choices that led to our team playing an unfair game in the EOS tournament that finished in a loss. It's been a hard lesson to teach and learn. His team finished with a swim party and they got rings for being 1st in the season! Peep the Voldemort hug, haha. 

Lyla's team didn't place anywhere of note. She had a great season and loves playing softball more than ever! Her team beat an unexpected team in the EOS tournament and had to play the number one team of the season. They lost, but she made so many plays. Every time she played this team she made plays and made them afraid of a loss. She made them work for every win they got. We are the only team they didn't run rule. She's great at the game, but she's an even better human, friend and teammate. 

We lucked out and got to play THREE seasons with Big Red. We were in the same ward for a few years and have missed them so much since the split. It was AMAZING to have these to play together one last time. I love her momma and am so grateful for her friendship. They are moving back to Utah and we will miss them immensely! 

Now we break from ball until fall.
