August Part Two: The End of Summer

After Lyla's blessing, summer began to wind down. We did a lot of activities to send the summer off into the school year. Tyler went to the West Liberty Foods Annual Golf Tournament. He went with his dad and brothers. This year they sported quite the matching outfits. Tyler was so excited that he was sure to get all the way ready the night before.

We took the boys to the fair this year! They really wanted to ride the rides last year and this year they had a BOGO deal. We went to the rodeo as part of the fair as well. Nolan participated in the stick horse race, got a participation trophy and sucker for playing along. They boys loved giving high-fives to the cowboys and cowgirls as they warmed up in the area.

Football season start for Uncle Tommy and these kids love to watch and dance as Tom plays!

We went to one more family reunion. We played in the Snake River and rode lots of fun toys!

We stayed home for the Eclipse and skipped the horrible traffic. The highway behind our house was backed up 2 days on and off! We were in the zone about 96% totality and it was NOTHING compared to totality, as shared by many friends and family members from East Idaho. Everything got grayish, but never dark. We were able to snag some glasses and spend the time outside as a family. It was fun trying to explain it to the boys.

Tommy and Tyler scored some SUPER cheap swag from the Amazon add-on program. It was like Christmas for a few days!

Lyla turned 3 months and she is our first baby to have enough strength to balance on Tyler's hand.

Next month school starts and well... it is, what it is...
Until next time...
