June 2021

The end of the school year brings a very busy last week of school. There are field trips and field days. Lyla and I got to tag along to more than a couple of things! Tommy even joined us for field day! It was a very HOT field day. There were lots of crazy, thirsty, sweaty children! It's always crazy to me to see how much the kids change from the first and last day of school!

June probably our busiest month of the summer for 2021. Papaw bought a four-wheeler, we finally bought Crossnet and everyone started baseball! Between games and practice, we get to play baseball 4 days a week!

This is probably the last year the boys get to be on the same team. Lyla likes to hit the ball and user her "runner" shoes to be super fast! They boys have come a long way and can play catch alone for some good practice!

The 2nd week of June is always Swamily. This year we went to Soda Springs. I've never been there and we really enjoyed this trip! We stayed in a GREAT cabin and explored some really interesting places in town. We visited all the cool parks with all the cool springs. We saw the geiser, went fishing and had s'mores. Derek brought a poker set and we all enjoyed being "high bidders". I even won a round! All the adult couples play The Newly Wed game. Tyler and I won and earned some extra treats!
We went to Lava for the first time and Tyler jumped off the highest platform and Grayson went on the scary drop tube slide. Then we quickly went to the hot pools, because it was too chilly of a day to stay at the regular pools. Everyone played hard and the kids enjoyed the time with cousins. We partied hard and came home tired
We came home just in time for me to wash my clothes and pack for girls camp! It was the hottest girls camp I have ever been to! 100 in the heat of the day! We did a ward camp this year and ward camp is a TON of work, but my favorite type of camp in my opinion. I didn't come home with a picture, but I was there! I came home in time for us to celebrate Father's Day and send Tyler on a brother's trip. We went fishing in Ogden, we found out later that it was the wrong place. Tyler caught the BIGGEST carp ever and the kids and I saw lots of baby duckies!

In Primary, they did a Masked Singer/Who's your daddy and it was so funny! The kids loved guessing who's dad was singing their favorite primary song. Tyler of course, dressed as an eagle.
Tyler flew with his dad and brothers to Houston. They stayed with Lillie. They spent 5 days fishing, they caught an Astros game and ate their fill of Whataburger. He sure looked like he had fun. Everyone at home got a "little" bit of Texas swag.

This year is our first year of 4h! Grayson is doing a goat project that he will sell at auction. Nolan is walking with an old nanny goat, Farrah, to show in a breeding show. We go everyday to walk and work with the goats. PSA, goats are stubborn.
Here's to July! It's birthday month! I wish I could say July was less busy. It wasn't.
Until  next time...
