May Part II: Goodbye Utah

After all the school field trips were over and our house was boxed up, it was time to say goodbye to Utah. After all our things were boxed up it was time to clean and leave the Tremonton house. We were lucky to stay with Kenney and Teresa for the weekend to clean the house, say goodbye to cousins and go to one more day of school.

While I cleaned the house, the kids helped on Papaw's mini farm. There was more than a little bit of complaining when dog poop was involved.

We played in our backyard and at the park close to our house for the last time. It was very nostalgic. Tremonton has been such a wonderful home for our family. We are so excited for our next adventure, but we will surely miss this place. I went to our ward for the last time and it was bittersweet. I was released from Young Women's and had the opportunity to go to Relief Society. The lesson was about Sisterhood in RS. The teacher likened it to the story "Stone Soup". She singled me out at the very end as it was my last Sunday. I was ugly crying as I expressed how much I learned from so many of the Sisters in our ward. They definitely added to our family's "Stone Soup". Our soup is so much more rich because of their examples and love. I will miss this ward and pray we find a way to serve and love in our new ward.

We spent a day bowling and lunch at the park. We had a big group of cousin fun! Also, Emma is REALLY good at bowling! We sure love this people! We have loved our time with them these last 10 years!
We went to our last Reagan dinner and celebrated Lyla's birthday a little bit early. She picked pancakes to eat and Batman cupcakes to share. Beth came down and we got extra, extra cousin time.

We stayed the weekend so that the boys could go to ONE last day of school. Grayson woke up in the middle of the Sunday night sick. He waited to tell me until we woke up for the day. He brushed it off, sure that he was fine. We quickly discovered that he wasn't fine. He was too sick to go to school and we were on too tight of a schedule to wait another day. We masked up and took a quick trip 30 min trip to school. Our people there were too important to miss saying good bye to. I was sick with worry about traveling by myself with sick kids and potentially getting sick myself. I was a hot mess of emotion seeing how much those teachers and support staff love my kiddos. The teacher in gray on the right has been a para from that very first day of Kindergarten. She has loved and helped this boy for a very long time. He would cry for her to take him for pull-out in the rough first year of Kindergarten. We are VERY grateful for SUPERHERO teachers and support staff. Grayson made out with quite the haul of goodbye gifts. Nolan took cupcakes and didn't stay still long enough to get a picture.

This car was FULL to the brim! I packed and wrapped that trailer all by myself. This was the first time I have driven it, ever. Inside is packed full with three kids, two dogs and like 8 plants. We left Utah to spend a few days with my family in Idaho while we wait for Tyler to fly in and take us home. The drive to Idaho was a close one, but no one else got sick during our drive down.

Until next time....
