July Part 1

Nolan's birthday always leads off one of the busiest months of the year!

Tyler needs a haircut, but his expression accurately depicts what I feels like to  parent during the summer. It is not for the weak! We went to ward party and the YM Tyler gets to serve with begged that he get in a picture with them. He is soo good with them and they are good FOR him.

Tyler's Grandma and Popi came over to Kenney and Teresa's for a 4th of July BBQ. I wasn't feeling great and Tyler took the kids over by himself. They had some good food and some good pictures opportunities!

We took the next week to get ready for my sister's wedding in Idaho. Tyler got that haircut he needed.
Emily very kindly offered to come stay at the house while we were gone. Quigley's leg still isn't healed enough for us to just take him anywhere. Her offer gave us a great feeling of relief. She took care of the dogs, the pool and made sure nothing burned down. All the cousin's got to meet the turtles, which by the way, have grown significantly!
There was LOTS of trying to stay cool as most of July was 107 degrees, on average. It was a hot one.

The same day we headed to Idaho, Kenney and Teresa got ready to drive Kendra all the way to BYU-Idaho. She's amazing and will do so great, but we will miss the heck out of her!

We decided to make a detour and pit stop at the Grand Canyon. I do not recommend driving through New Mexico, if you don't have to, but the Grand Canyon was worth it! Your brain truly cannot fathom the size of it. It is huge, majestic, and one of God's wonders. Obviously, I took too many pictures. We worked very hard to be at the Grand Canyon as early as possible. We beat the heat and the crowds.

There was a lot of quiet and naps as we made the rest of the trip to Idaho.
Next up, it's wedding time!
Until next time...
