September

In September, there was so. much. fishing. Lillie and Colton stayed with us one weekend and we did all the things. We fished, we had a fire, we swam and we played games. We even took some pictures of their family!

Over labor day Tyler and I worked so hard to take the kayaks out. They kids have been asking for a while and we finally made it happen. For them to kayak for MAYBE 30 mins. We may be selling the kayak's soon.

Fishing happened again. The early morning resulted in some forced nap time. They always say they aren't tired, but they ALWAYS fall asleep when I make them just lay down quietly.

A friend in our ward has season tickets for the Rangers. When he can't go to a games he'll give his tickets to people in the ward to use. He knows we like the Rangers vs. Astros and made sure we got his tickets (WITH PARKING! IYKYK) for a Rangers/Astros game. It was way fun watching the game without kids in really good seats!

Always with the fishing.

Tyler went with the Preists again to Teacher Creature. This is such a cool activity. They do service and get to play with some really cool animals!

For a while now, Nolan has wanted to get a catfish. Tyler did some research and they went out to our favorite pond. He was so proud to hold a big catfish! Nolan was tested last year and qualified for our school district's PACE (gifted and talented program). He goes once a week with other kids his age to a special science/history class. This year they are leaning all about Ancient Egypt. Every week he gets to do a fun project. So far he's done a salt dough map and made a shaduf(look it up). I wish I could tell you I took pictures. Apparently, I'm destined to middle child him with or without trying.

Our ward had our Primary program. We learned, "The Miracle" along with many other songs that talk about ways Jesus can give us miracles. I frequently told Tyler this song was gonna be amazing. He said many of the other songs were great, but that I was right. The Spirit they brough was amazing! Tyler finally agreed that song was one for the books! My primary friends worked so hard and the Spirit was so strong. I love my calling and singing in Primary each Sunday! This was Grayson's last Primary program and I will miss having him tell me what he didn't and didn't like that Sunday. However, he is soo soo ready for Young Men's. Tyler and I have started to see that change in him.

Picture day came and these cuties got allllll dressed up!

Grayson worked hard to learn My Country 'Tis of Thee and auditioned for 4th/5th grade Honor Choir. He got a letter inviting him to join! He is very excited and I am also very excited to help in what ever way I can! Our school found out that "we had too many 1st grade teachers". Lyla's teacher was moved and all her classmates were spread about the other remaining classes. She quickly was picked to be Maverick of the week, again!

I also got a new nephew this month! He's cute and much more happy than his big brother was as a baby; or so I hear!
One of our favorite weekends came and went way to quickly! We enjoyed sitting around all day while listening to General Conference. We colored with nice pens and did a Temples around the world puzzle, while eating lots of fun snacks.

Until next time...
