In the month of May, all three kids had a field trip. It worked out perfectly that Tyler was able to attend ALL of them as a chaperone. It was such a wonderful way for him to show the kids how much he loved them b y spending time with them!
As soon as we got back from Idaho, Nolan's second grade field trip was up first. They went to the Science and History Museum in downtown Fort Worth. He has a good group of friends and he is a good example for them. Tyler was the perfect chaperone to keep them having fun. Nolan really lucked out on his teacher this year. She made sure to mention to Tyler how much she was going to miss him. He was an excellent student and an even better human in her classroom this year!
Grayson's Field Trip was up next! All the 4th grade classes at our school went to Austin to see all the interesting things our capital city had to offer. The chaperones were chosen by a lottery and we were so blessed that Tyler was chosen. They rode a fancy bus, had all their meals and snacks provided and saw some really cool museums about Texas's history. Grayson won a lot of the games during the bus ride and earned the cutest little stuffies. Tyler was such a fun chaperone that he schmoozed his way into a couple extra armadillo stuffies for Nolan and Lyla. Grayson still talks about how much fun he had learning even more about Texas on this trip! Tyler had just as much fun because he didn't get to do 4th grade Texas history like he always wanted.
