May: Part 1

At the beginning of May, my mom and sisters came down to celebrate a late Easter. The kids got some giant stuffed animals that they love! The boys love to "dress" theirs up. They also used them on the slide! It was funny to watch! We also did a quick river walk trail in Logan Canyon before we ate in the DINING room of Pizza Pie Cafe. It was crazy, they brought the pizza and pasta to you. You also gave your order at the salad station. We didn't touch much of anything! It was good food and a nice change to quarantine.

Lots of rocks were thrown in the water. We also saw a bunch of hummingbirds!

Tyler finished Tremonton City Rec's Sloth-a-thon. In a month he, biked 112 miles, ran 26.2 miles (he ran MORE than that, but only 26 was required) and did 2500 bur-pees. He really works hard and this was a fun way to stay accountable and work for something a little extra!

Grayson is really into drawing tutorials on YouTube. This time he did Olaf and then gifted it to  me for Mother's Day. Lyla wanted a turn, too. She was so concentrated on trying to follow along!

We spent a day crafting for Mother's Day and Teacher Appreciation. It was chaos. Everything turned out, but the kitchen was trashed!

Mother's Day was wonderful as always! I woke up to breakfast in bed and sweet notes from my family. Tyler wanted the kids to make me paper flowers, turns out they can't do that, so he painstakingly made me one himself! I had a nice relaxing day. I got a new camera lens that I LOVE and I haven't stopped using it since!

We noticed a few weeks before Mother's Day that our neighbor put up a super weird fence in his front yard. On Mother's Day he invited us to stop by and see what was enclosed in the fence. Apparently, a wild duck decided to nest in his front flower bed! We got to see a mamma duck and 12 newly hatched ducklings. He made sure to take such care of them without overly interfering. It was a special treat!

Grayson's hair was OUT OF CONTROL and he finally got a haircut. Lyla learned to climb on top of Grayson's bed and was VERY proud of herself. Nolan begged and begged to do this skittle trick he saw on Ryan's World. We indulged and it was actually pretty cool to watch.

Next up, COVID-19 didn't stop us from having an AWESOME Bear Lake adventure!
Until next time.....
