Feb 2022

February is usually just as slow as January. I don't take many photos, I have a chill birthday, a chill valentines and we go about our way.

Lucy, one of the most favorite, long lasting goats, died. It was the end of an era, I'm told. To honor her there was a VERY big hole dug and a bunch of happy boys playing at Papaw's farm. It was an event and even better that Uncle Tom was there to help and play with. Did I put too many pictures, YES. But I love them all. Tommy is the Cora whisperer and it was funny to watch how much she loved his head-scratch.

A new batch of baby goats have come. They were a group of 5 where 4 survived, they are the tiniest, cutest things ever.

I'm always catching Lyla with my phone. She is fan of selfies and games. With Tyler's random days off, she gets a lot of one on one time with Tyler and I. She went from playing games, to OUT in the car.

Yet again, I didn't take any good pictures of my birthday. We went Huhot and I got some nice things and treated myself. Nolan had a 1st grade music program and I LOVED watching him sing. He has such a talent for singing, I hope I can help him love it and want to use it!

These kiddos love Valentine's day and I love them!

Grayson is just killing it in life. He's really coming into his own. For Valentines day, his class had a day about manners and treating each other like ladies and gentleman. They were encouraged to dress fancy. Thanks, Tom and Emerie for the things we had from their wedding. He got first place in his class Kahoot and he is almost a multiplication master of 0-12 facts! He is also addicted to Tv. I said no Tv while we were at Nana's one day. Instead of playing and hanging out with the people, he watched the laundry dry. Silly boy.

The pups just looked SO good one day. Chilling in the kitchen while I tripped over them again and again as I was making dinner. They are a very special part of our family.

In February, Tyler applied for a job in Newbern, TN for Tyson Foods. He did a phone interview and unfortunately, did not get the job. It is a pig slaughter plant and they REALLY wanted a candidate with that kind of experience. However, the interviewers liked him so much that they suggested he apply for a different opening they had that we were unaware of. In Texas, no less. The place Tyler VERY MUCH wants to move to. He applied, had and interview and they asked him to come out and visit the plant for a second interview. They flew him out, put him in his dream car and paid for Whataburger. They REALLY wanted him to enjoy Texas. Spoiler alert: He did.
While he was in his interview, I received notice that the online job I've been doing for 8 1/2 years was going to let me go. When I got the job, I also knew I was hired to ONLY work in the state of Utah. We knew this job would not keep me hired if we moved to a different state. Coincidence? I think not.
Tyler brought home Texas footballs. To say the people were excited was an understatement.

He had the in person interview on Tuesday and they offered him the job on Thursday. Tyler has worked so hard to finish school and be a professional in his field. We are so excited for this opportunity to expand his career. We can't being to describe how crazy it feels and how much we know this is what is right for our family. We know this is where Heavenly Father is leading our family.
Without further ado,
We accepted a position with Tyson Foods and are moving to Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas!

I think we have enough Texas swag that we should fit in okay. We will miss our family and friends, our first home that we love and a community that has made us who we are and loved us for the last 10 years. Tyler will relocate and start in March. The kids and I will work our buns off to sell the house, buy a new one and get to him in Texas as fast as we can.
Until next time...
