May Madness 2024: Part III end of baseball Lyla's bday more puppies, summer, pool

Our babies have opened their eyes and walking on all 4's! Cora goes out for longer periods so now we get more time to play with them! We had a photoshoot, because we can't keep our babies. We don't really care about the money. We wanted the kids to "raise" puppies. We are really hoping to find good families that understand their breed and will love them!

The end of baseball season is bittersweet. I can't wait to get a bit more time back at home, but I miss watching these kids play and get better at baseball! This season was different for everyone and just what each of them needed. Lyla played, was brave and learned so much! Nolan learned about personal progression and doing your best even when you don't win! Grayson got to practice pushing through nerves and not letting them win. He made friends by being a positive and supportive team player. I'm not sure we will get him to play next Spring, but we will see. Middle school has tennis and he's thinking of trying that out!

Lyla always finds a way to keep herself busy!

Lyla's team started our summer with a swim party to celebrate the season. We found out that Lyla's team got 2nd in the mid-season tournament. Due to a bunch of storms and couple games (she never went to,b because they were on Sunday) her team got awesome rings and trophies! This is also the day we found some great homes for our puppies.

Lyla's team party also happened to be the same day she turned 7! She had a great day and it's no wonder she picked a softball cake with ALL the sprinkles! She was so excited about the skateboard, but has enjoyed her Heely's much more!

It was warm enough to open and pool and I'm a regular alchemist now. With all the chemicals and a little magic, I've kind of got the pool figured out!

For Easter all the kids picked a summer sports camp that WASN'T baseball. We LOVE baseball, but want to make sure they get to make some choices. It's also cheaper to try something new at a 4 day camp than pay for a whole season of it here in Fort Worth. Lyla picked basketball. It was so fun watching her and she showed she is just athletic. Hopefully I can find a place for her to play this winter! There were only a few girls signed up for the younger group so he asked to combine the younger and older girls. He promised it would be ok and it was a lot of fun and a lot of learning! He even ended up giving me a shirt just like Lyla's. We had a wonderful couple of days, just me and Lyla.

The boys started their summer with a trip to Arkansas with Tyler. Tyler went to a training and the boys played with cousins at Mitch and Emily's house. Emily took them to all the awesome fun places. They went to an art exhibit only made of bugs, snakes and such. The pictures are VERY cool. Grayson took them all himself. Then Emily took them to a lake where Grayson REFUSED to get in. All in all a great start to summer break!

June flies right by!
Until next time....
