April 2021

We made it to Spring Break! We were really looking forward to this week off! We kicked off the weekend with some fun at a jump park in Ogden. The kids had a blast. So much that the big boys fell asleep. We finished the day with Pizza Pie Cafe and fancy cupcakes.

The rest of the week we got ready for Easter. We each enjoyed conference in our own way. We decorated eggs, had an Easter scavenger hunt and made Resurrection rolls. We love our Easter traditions. With it being Conference weekend as well, we never did get an Easter Family photo.... yikes.

We spent a weekend at my moms. We always have fun when we are there. Cal Lee bought Guitar Hero and we are all addicted to it! They boys were surprised to find that there was an easy enough level for them to enjoy. I don't think they realized how much practicing the piano this year helped them be able to play. Lyla used her adorable face to score free Razr rides... I think they love their little namesake... just maybe.

On the way home we stopped to see my cousin Billy and his family. They recently returned from a trip to Mexico and were willing to share all their fun and helpful tips! Boy did they make us feel special! We got a tour of their amazing home, Sunday waffles, and an awesome yard to play in! Time flew quickly because we were having such a great time! They even saddled a horse and let us all have a ride. It was such a treat! The kid in me DIED of excitement. I love horses and Billy's family is the reason I love them so! We are so lucky to have so many loved ones!

Lyla girl got a new bed and the boy switched spots. They were so excited for the change! Cora can now sneak into TWO beds. The kids love it. I hate the dog hair, but I'm so happy they all love each other.

Our school did a College week. Each day was a different dress up with different activities. Lyla wants to be a mom (hence the baby purse), Nolan wants to be a Police Officer and Grayson wants to be a teacher. We also spent some time decorating doors for Teacher Appreciation Week. It was fun to be creative and I had some really great people to work with.

We signed up for the city Sloth-a-thon. Basically you complete a triathlon over the course of a month rather than in one day. Tyler is doing the Ironman version and will be fine. Wish the kids and I luck as we walk a bunch of miles, bike a bunch of miles and swim a bunch of meters.

Tyler and I are gearing up for our 10 year anniversary trip. We are headed to Cancun, Mexico with Mitch, Emily and some friends. I've started buying things and I'm ready to find some warmth and sunshine.

Until next time...
