I've always complained the December and May are the craziest months of the year! October gave both of them a run for their money this year! December is fine because, Jesus. We get through May because of the promise of Summer. October, though? Nothing good comes from a busy October! I taught preschool, took on a new Quickbooks client(that was 9 months behind), prepared our ward Primary Program, help plan and execute our PTA Trunk-r-Treat, and kept the kids supported in all their things. I'm not sure how we survived!
First of all, GRAYSON MADE THE TENNIS TEAM! We are so excited for him! It's a mixed 7th/8th grade team. He is one of two 7th graders on the boys team. This is a totally new experience for us and it's going to be a ride! one of the first things we learned is that tennis matches are like 4 hours long. We've spent every Monday night at a tennis match. Many Saturdays now begin with a Tyler vs. Grayson Tennis match.
Speaking of baseball, games ended right before Halloween. We were disappointed when some of the games were getting scheduled on Sunday, but we were thankfully able to avoid that.
Nolan's team did really well this season! They had a good group of talented kids. His team battled their last game and ended up 3rd in the lead. He was comfortable with this team and could tell they had a chance. He was pretty disappointed to not go to the championship game.
He keeps acting like he's done pitching. I sure love watching him play!
Lyla's team ended up second in the league to start the playoffs! They played their hearts our and placed second in the championship game! She saw a lot of growth and was very excited to get a ring! WE even got to play with an friend from church! It was a great fall season!
One day Nolan's game kept getting delayed for lightening. We 'bout froze and died. Took forever!
Getting a ring means a fun photo shoot!
Nolan was only a "little" bit of a party pooper.
Grayson had a band expo. We went and watched the HS marching bands practice their competition pieces. The middle schools played their songs while they set up. We decided we hope to never have to do marching band.
Nolan and Lyla sure aren't afraid to get comfortable!
Whenever good music comes from my phone the kids come like moths to a flame. Love that they are learning to appreciated how good music can make them feel!
Texas Grandma, Tyler's grandma, has been struggling with dementia. It finally got to the point that she needed to be moved from Tyler to DFW to be closer to Kenney and Teresa. They had a nice place for her to go and needed help getter her and her things here. Tyler, Tommy and the kids helped on the same weekend as our Primary program. I still think this is my favorite age of kids. They were so helpful and happy to help. We are praying this move helps Marie be more comfortable and taken care of.
Baseball is finished, but we still have some Tennis!
Until next time...
