September 2025

September has been rather pleasant! It's not been too hot and we were looking forward to baseball games starting!

Tyler took the kids fishing one morning and everyone caught a fish!

Lyla helped me and my friends on the PTA board set up for a Grandparents event.

Lyla was very happy with her Harry Potter outfit. We found some Harry Potter bows at Aldi and have had some fun with them.

I know we talk about our love for Harry Potter often. However, my favorite author is probably Brandon Mull and his series Fablehaven/Dragonwatch. I love how all 10 books tie together at the end and remind my of the Atonement. It's seriously so great! I saw on FB that he was visiting a Barnes and Noble not too far from us. Grayson just happened to secretly begin Fablehaven. He thought I didn't notice. I dragged him along with me. He helped carry a few of my favorites to get signed. It was a really cool experience!

Games finally began! Nolan and Lyla are having a great start! Lyla is playing a lot of first base and really growing as a hitter! Her team is winning lots of their games (something new for us, haha)Tyler gets to do his favorite job, Double D(Dugout Dad) and hypes the girls up thanks to a friend at work how has some fun Razorback gear.

Nolan is in his happy place; playing second base and not being the lead-off hitter. I legit watched him almost turn a double play, a second shy of completion. It was so cool! They are on the road to being undefeated(the last two seasons have had LOTS of losses)! We are grateful for the cooler September!

Love when we get to play friends!

Grayson decided not to play baseball this fall and concentrate on Tennis. It's a good thing. We only have two playing on Saturdays and we STILL have games overlapping!

Kenney turned 60 and spent the day with some of his kids. They raced big kid go-karts, went to Top Golf and ate some good BBQ.

Lyla found a little snake outside and Nolan found the cutest frog during Lyla's game.

We learned that Sept. 21st is Moroni Day, the day Moroni visited Joseph Smith telling him that one day he would get the plates and translate them in to the Book of Mormon. Tyler decided to make cupcakes for Ward Youth Council. They were a hit. I bribed Nolan to audition for Honor Choir again this year. If he  AT LEAST auditioned, I would let him do percussion next year in middle school. He made it, because he has a great voice he refuses to recognize! Lyla was the first Maverick of the Month for her class!

The many faces of Nolan. He's decided he likes it long. I'm learning how to help make it not look like a mop. The rule is, it has to stay above his eyebrows.

My friend is the director of a preschool. She was looking for a music teacher to come 2 times a month and asked if I was interested. I accepted and now get to teach music a Little Blessings Preschool. The classes range in age from 18 months- 4 years. It's a change for me that shouldn't really effect anyone else. I did two lessons and I've already learned a lot! The first week, the 18th month old babies, just cried for 25 mins. They have the hardest transition from home to preschool for the first time. Singing for 2 hours is a workout! Since they are so young, I have to have 15-20 songs in my pocket to pull out as needed! Here's to hoping for good things to continue!

Grayson is finally taller than Tyler. The day has come. Tyler and Grayson also had a fun evening with the youth in our ward serving in the Temple.

We eased through September, but buckle up, October about did me in!
Until next time...
