May 2025: End of School

At school we hosted a Muffins with Mom event. Since I set up, Grayson was there and I still got a picture with all my kids! I wasn't feeling great and stayed home on Mother's Day, but I was still spoiled by all my people!

May means ALL the celebrations. We started with Grayson's final band concert of the year. They all got to sign their trophy from the clinic in April.

Grayson was awarded Most Outstanding French Horn for beginner band. We had no idea he was getting it and I hope he can finally start to see that instruments are hard, but can be so rewarding! He also received the ELAR award from his 6th grade ELAR teacher. This teacher was apart of his IEP exit team and I appreciate great teachers who empower students do hard things!

Nolan and Lyla both came home with a laundry list of awards. They are good students and good citizen of their school! I love to watch them learn and grow each year!
We are missing one kiddo in this photo, but I'm grateful for these good, kind and smart kids! Even better I love that their mom's have been such a good influence in my life and my kids lives! They are a party and thick as thieves, but honestly such a good little group!

Lyla and Nolan had separate PE fun days. I got to go to Lyla's. The storms for Nolan's day meant all the kids had to be inside and parents could no longer attend. Nolan's teacher is so great and made sure to take and send lots of pictures.

They also had a 4th grade kickball tournament. It is a BIG deal for the 4th graders and their teachers. A friend had extra iron on and helped us make a shirt so Nolan matched his friends.

Tyler is the real MVP and once again, accompanied a grade school field trip. They went to the Fort Worth Science and History Museum. It looks like a party, reviews were great.

We blinked and the last day of school was upon us. I can't believe how much growth and change happens in 9 months. I love these people and I think these are my favorite ages of kids. I could stay in this stage forever.

Next up, Lyla turns 8, where has the time gone??
Until next time....
