May Madness 2024: Part I

Oh May, I'm not sure how we ever survive the month of May. This is probably the busiest one we've ever had!
These puppies are changing our lives. For the better. Cora finally went outside long enough for everyone to have a turn holding our babies. The photo bombs will prove that they are pure joy! We docked their tails and clipped their dew claws. It was more traumatic for some than others(looking at Tyler). But it's done they are healing and growing so fast!

Mothers' Day came and went like it usually does. I get all the food that I want and two days of not cleaning my house and making no "mom" decisions. It was very nice!

Grayson very much enjoyed being in honor choir this year! We got to attend his end of year concert and I loved watching him! They sang some fun songs and it was a great experience for him this year! Unfortunately, he got a REALLY bad cold/fever along with pink eye the last two weeks of all the school fun. Thankfully, he got all the meds and sleep he needed to be well enough for these last two concerts and last week of school activities.

Parkview Honor Choir has a unique opportunity this year to sing in our school district's music showcase. It's on a 3 year rotation and it was NOT our year to preform. However, some schools were unable to attend. Our choir was so good at Festival in February, that they were given the opportunity to preform in one of the open spots. Even more amazing is the fact that it was hosted at Bass Hall in downtown Fort Worth. This concert hall is where ALL the traveling Broadway shows play during the year. It is an amazing venue and an amazing experience. We had a wonderful time as a family supporting him. He left that morning from school and we didn't see him again until it was time to sing. Such a big fun day for him! Nolan and Lyla took a picture next to the HUGE stone angels as part of the building.

We only got a picture with him as we were leaving. Good thing it was before dark. The Cheesecake Factory was RIGHT next store, so we all got cheesecake to-go to celebrate!

It is peak fishing time as the summer heat starts to set in. All the different church activities like to go fishing and Tyer loves going along to help out. Lyla too, if she's lucky.

We are not even close to everything that happens in May, so much more fun to have!
Until next time...
