Cancun Part Two

The views at our resort were amazing. Everywhere we turned we could see the ocean. Our room was a 3 minute walk from the ocean. There are 5 resorts that we had access to on the property and we spent time exploring.
One morning there was a huge palm leaf by our door. I couldn't believe how big it was! Our private pool was so relaxing with my hammock floaty.

We did some damage in the drink department. Our new favorite drink is a virgin Miami Vice. Our table looked like we were champion liquor drinkers. Little did they know....

One morning we were sure to watch a sunrise and Tyler caught a sunset. Truly beautiful.

I don't think I will ever eat as good as I did at our resort. I had lobster for the first time and shrimp the size of my hand!

This chocolate concoction was the official favorite dessert and I love me a good flauta! The next resort over had our favorite breakfast and the best barbacoa taco of my life! There was nothing but tortilla and meat, but the best flavor ever! Our butler made sure to get us reservations at the hibachi restaurant. It was a 5 course dinner. I'm pretty sure we had a wagyu beef stir fry and I will never have beef that good again in my life! It was fantastic and so enjoyable to watch!

I enjoyed multiple fish tacos and shrimp risotto.

We spent time at the beach and so enjoyed finding lots of hermit crabs and little fish. We were very lucky to find a sea urchin!
These clams were so big and Tyler couldn't pass up the photo opportunity.

Each night our resort had a show of sorts. We enjoyed the fire show and missed a couple of the others.

The Iberostar Maya had the best breakfast, very cool bridge walkways and water slides for us to try and be kids again. We spent time in the lazy river and wave pool. I have never been in a wave pool and almost died only a couple of times!
From our resort you could see  a replica of Chichen Itza. It turned out to be the lobby of the Maya Hotel. Inside was filled with incredible decoration!

We saw so much wildlife just by walking around our resort!

The last few pictures we started our good byes! So much good food and good friends in an amazing location!

I'm so grateful that we were able to go on this trip! I would go again in a heartbeat! I hope maybe one day we can take the kids. Mexico was good to us!

Until next time...
