May Madness 2024: Part II

I've decided that every post in May will begin with puppy pictures, because we have so many.... The puppies are still so snuggly. We love to sneak snuggles when Cora goes outside for a break. We are waiting patiently for them to open their eyes. Lyla was "fake" sleeping with her Mackenzie pup.

I got to visit everyone at their field days. Lyla was day one, Nolan and Grayson were on day 2. By the time I went both days I was exhausted! Lyla's was easier as I just followed the class around to each station. The big kids got a partner and could do whatever they wanted for the two hours as long as they visited as many stations as possible.

Nolan has had such a great group of friends this year! We met some new people at church because he a good and kind friend at school. Not to mention that he knows how to create and have a good time! It will benefit him this summer.

The last week of school means end of year awards. Every teacher gives each student a variety of awards they qualified for. Then each class awards 2 Outstanding Students. One boy and one girl. I was excited and not surprised to hear that Nolan was awarded Outstanding Maverick for his class. They don't tell parents before hand and I was very grateful I was able to be there and see each of my kiddos get their end of year awards.

He wore his medal for about 2 days straight. It was well deserved. It was nice to see that his teacher noticed his hard work all year long!

Grayson's last day of elementary school was a clap out followed by an awards ceremony. We are going to miss elementary school. I will be forever grateful for all the  wonderful people who have helped him get to this day. I hope we can always remind him that his hard work got him here and it will help him to anything he puts his mind to!

All year long I looked forward to helping with the 5th grade celebration. Last minute, I became 'in charge" of it. For better or worse, I think it was a great day for all involved! I learned so many things to help whoever is in charge next year! We had a nacho bar, popcorn bar, and a variety of games! It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun! We have a great school and many people gave donations or volunteer to help make a good day great!

I unfortunately didn't get to visit Nolan and Lyla's party because of Grayson's, but hopefully I get to help celebrate them in 5th grade, too! Next year, I'll only have 2 class parties to try and make it too. Lyla FINALLY got her special birthday patch from her teacher.

We finally made it to the last day of school. Nolan said "none" of his friends were going to be there so he chose to stay home. Gosh, I love these people! I can't believe how much they've grown, learned and changed. All for the better!! Here's to middle school, 4th grade and 2nd grade!

May STILL isn't over,

until next time.....
